Empire Solar was founded in 2015 with one goal in mind – to provide homeowners with an affordable option to own solar panels at a lower cost than buying electricity. After completing over 2,000 installations, we have established ourselves as the premier solar company in the Hudson Valley.

Before 2015, the only options available to homeowners were leasing programs that would benefit large solar companies far more than the homeowners themselves. Empire Solar was one of the first companies to offer an ownership option that would cost less than leasing and give New Yorkers access to 100% of the tax credits.

In addition to being the pioneers of owning your power in New York, we also blazed the trail for providing services to homeowners that would otherwise be disqualified by larger companies. When a homeowner needs a new roof or trees removed prior to installation, large companies typically don’t want anything to do with that home because they view each leasing contract as an investment. But we took a different approach and built an entire roofing and tree division within our company, which allows us to help a much broader portion of the community.
